It was really, really hard to choose just one favorite.
While I certainly do have a special weakness for the subject matter (my dog loves the water like nothing else), I kept returning to this photo for it’s more subtle elements. In particular, the almost-symmetrical ripples in the water waking behind the dog; the faint silhouettes of the leaves underwater reflecting the leaves clearly visible in the foreground; and the overall silvery-tint anchored by the silver-gray of the railroad ties.
I looked at all your pictures, and found it very hard to choose. However, this one tugged at me each time I visited- the happiness of the dog is palpable.
Thanks Jennifer, he came out of nowhere and splashed down right where I was standing, I had the camera, so I shot him returning to the shore, when he hit land he was gone as fast as he had arrived
This pup out for a swim on a fall day certainly caught my attention. Very nice!
